The Semper Virens Legacy Society recognizes the significant and deep commitment of our donors. Semper Virens is latin for ‘evergreen’ and we feel this is so fitting for the support these generous people have provided for current and future students in Cleveland.

Breakthrough is changing the educational landscape in Cleveland by working to ensure all children, regardless of their zip code, have access to high-quality education. Legacy gifts make a difference today by allowing us to plan for Breakthrough's greatest needs tomorrow and well into the future.

About the Society

The Semper Virens Legacy Society was created in concert with the formation of the Friends of Breakthrough Schools Legacy Fund of the Cleveland FoundationThe establishment of the fund represents the next step in strengthening our partnership with our donors, as well as with the Cleveland Foundation.

Legacy gift commitments strengthen the fund corpus established by Friends of Breakthrough Schools.  The growth of the fund will strengthen our investment portfolio to help ensure the long-term financial sustainability of our network of schools. Through this partnership, Friends of Breakthrough Schools gains access to the large investment pools of the Cleveland Foundation, as well as their years of experience and proven track record of success in this arena.
